June 2021 saw 13 exchanges migrate to the ‘stop sell' phase.

As part of The UK's All IP Project, Openreach has confirmed that 13 exchanges have successfully entered the ‘stop sell’ phase as planned. This took place on 29th June and will impact 170,000 premises across the UK.

Below is a list of the exchanges included in this migration. Any end-users in these areas, connected to these exchanges, will now no longer be able to purchase PSTN services. Furthermore, they will soon be fully upgraded to the enhanced IP service.

This is the start of an exciting period where large scale ‘stop sell’ and migrations become a reality. As the All IP project progresses and all existing PSTN lines are removed from operation, Installers and service providers will have to start thinking about how they can move any analogue reliant devices to a fully digital solution. Please click here to visit our All IP (Digital Voice) hub and get ahead of the curve.
