A Partnership for Professional Security

We are delighted to announce that from 1st June 2026, every radio variant of Orisec’s CSL Connected range will include rSIM technology. The launch will see an rSIM deployed with every Orisec radio module, including dual-path solutions, providing installers and end users with a smarter, more resilient approach to alarm signalling connectivity.

rSIM is the world’s first truly resilient and intelligent SIM card. It monitors connectivity and actively switches profiles to maximise uptime. With two independent mobile operator profiles stored on a single SIM card, rSIM significantly reduces the risk of outages by automatically switching to a backup mobile operator profile if an outage occurs. It effectively upgrades a single-SIM device to dual-SIM capabilities.

For the professional security sector, this represents a significant milestone. It is the first time rSIM technology has been introduced in this way to support alarm signalling, helping deliver enhanced resilience across radio modules and dual-path solutions.

What Benefits Does This Offer The Professional Security Sector?

  • First for the security market: rSIM technology is being introduced to support professional alarm signalling in a way not previously available in the sector.
  • Enhanced resilience with every radio module: an rSIM is deployed with every Orisec radio module, including dual-path, helping maximise connectivity uptime.
  • Dual-SIM capability from a single SIM: two independent mobile operator profiles are stored on one SIM, effectively upgrading single-SIM devices to dual-SIM performance, with 4 MNO profiles across 2 SIMs for dual radio.
  • Built for professional alarm signalling: CSL Connected combines managed critical connectivity with Orisec hardware to give installers and end users greater confidence in reliable communications.

rSIM - CSL's Patented Resilient SIM Card Technology

  • Patented intelligent polling: rSIM is the world’s first truly resilient and intelligent SIM card. It uses patented polling technology to continuously monitor connectivity and detect core MNO outages.
  • Automatic network profile switching: if a core MNO outage occurs, rSIM will switch to its backup profile to help maintain connectivity. This maximises uptime and ensures continuity of service.
  • Two mobile operator profiles on one SIM: rSIM stores two independent network profiles, giving added resilience without needing a second physical SIM, or eSIM, backup.
  • DualCore resilience without hardware complexity: rSIM allows OEMs to deliver dual-SIM-style protection through a single-SIM design, helping reduce product complexity, streamline manufacturing, and give installers a simpler, more resilient solution to deploy.
  • Helps prevent signalling storms: rSIM uses the same connectivity monitoring technology to manage network profile switching back to the main profile intelligently. This helps reduce repeated failed connection attempts during MNO disruption, ensuring devices don’t go offline when they try to switch back.

Enhancing Our Existing Partnership

“This is an exciting development in our ongoing partnership with CSL,” said Jon Green, CEO, Orisec. “Connectivity is central to the performance of modern security systems, and the introduction of rSIM across our radio modules is a first for the security market. It gives installers and customers even greater confidence in the reliability of their signalling. By deploying rSIM with every radio module, including dual-path, we are strengthening the resilience of Orisec systems and helping ensure dependable communications in critical moments.”

Rob Evans, Group Sales Director, CSL commented: “The introduction of rSIM into CSL Connected for Orisec represents a landmark moment for the security market. By combining CSL’s managed connectivity service with the intelligent failover capabilities of rSIM, Orisec installers can benefit from enhanced uptime, simplified deployment and added peace of mind. This first-to-market development reinforces our shared commitment to delivering reliable, future-ready connectivity for the professional security sector.”
