Security and Fire Awards for Excellence 2025
The UK Security and Fire Industry’s leading awards ceremony took place at the prestigious JW Marriott Grosvenor House in London. The evening was packed full of the best companies in the sectors, recognising, celebrating and rewarding excellence.
CSL’s project, alongside partners Dual-Stream & Waitrose, was crowned the winner of the Best Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technology Application. Pictured below, our Sales Director, John Coleman (second right), Head of Customer Service, Adam Spain (first right) and Sales Manager, Ian Halliwell (fourth left), joined the Dual-Stream and Waitrose teams on stage to collect the award.
Partnering to help retailer reduce losses
In recent years, the landscape of retail theft has evolved dramatically. Organised crime groups are now treating theft as a coordinated, business-like operation – targeting multiple retail locations in a single day with high-value product theft. For Dual-Stream, staying ahead of these increasingly sophisticated threats meant rethinking how retail theft solutions are designed, deployed, and maintained. By partnering with CSL, they found the secure, scalable, and sector-aware connectivity they needed to deliver results across live retail environments – helping retailers reduce loss by up to 80%.
As part of this Smart Detection application, Dual-Stream and CSL have worked closely to deliver an advanced and cyber-secure, end-to-end IoT connectivity solution to enable their solutions to support Waitrose in its mission to reduce crime in its stores.
