FIRE & SECURITY SECTOR GATHERS AT CSL INDUSTRY FORUM 2019

Increased collaboration between Fire & Security professionals, from across the industry, encouraged at the annual event held in London.

On Wednesday 13th November 2019, the Annual CSL Industry Forum took place at IFSEC's impressive HQ overlooking the iconic skyline of London. The Forum provided over 70 attendees with a series of valuable updates on topics including the latest industry trends, shared challenges and the ways collaboration can benefit us all.

The panel of expert speakers discussed a series of matters impacting End Users, Installers, Insurers, ARCs and Manufacturers. Below is an overview of each speaker’s presentation along with a link to download their presentations from the day: 

Simon Banks – Group MD of CSL & Chairman of BSIA – updates on the CSL Journey and the new DualCom Pro range. Importance of professionalism in our sector – embracing new technology at the standards we set.

Mike Reddington – Chief Executive of BSIA – the latest challenges faced by BSIA Members, including: insurance specification, standards and competency.

Chris Hanks – Chairman of NSI – the Insurers’ role as the gatekeeper to the standards & new opportunities in Fire & Security.

David Mudd – Global Digital & Connected Product Certification Director at BSI – Embracing the opportunities of IoT whilst understanding the challenges & why the Security Industry is best positioned to deliver this.

Jenny Cooper – Director of Private Clients and Insurance Liaison at Insafe International – case study of the new Halo project, an intelligent security solution integrating unique security features and services to protect cash and valuables up to Grade 5.
