To our great sadness, we have learned of the recent death of one of our former employees, Piet Voorneveld.
Piet worked in the security industry for over 55 years, starting his career at the age of just 20, selling security products and services into the Dutch market. In the years that followed, Piet held several roles, primarily in the security sector, where he was tasked to set up operations in the Benelux, USA and UAE.
Piet joined WebWayOne in 2010 and was part of the team that joined the CSL Group following the 2017 acquisition. He then played an important role in the foundation of the CSL Benelux team and remained a hugely popular colleague during his time with the company, until his retirement in 2022.
Piet received many commendations from both clients and colleagues for his contribution to the industry over an extended period. His knowledge, expertise, enthusiasm and kindness are just some of the qualities that were noted and he was announced as the winner of the 2021 OSPAs Lifetime Achievement Award.
Pascal Zeegers, Director Benelux, commented: “Piet brought a unique combination of talents to his role within CSL. His considerable commercial experience combined with his deep knowledge of the technical aspects and all that comes with it, gave him a passion for supporting and understanding the complexities of the security sector. We owe him a debt of gratitude for the support and friendship he provided to us. As our team come to terms with this terrible loss, we will remember all the good times we spent in the company of Piet.”
