Panel Programming

No panel settings are required for the DualCom Pro to integrate to the Panel and then communicate SIA alarms. Connect to Serial Port 1 of 10270 if available. Serial Port 2 is also supported. By default, all events will now report to the ARC.

If required, to limit events reported to the ARC, and to allow for signals to be tested manually please follow programming below:

  • Enter into engineer mode on 10270 and go to Comms Menu. Press Yes to enter
  • Go to “Monitoring & Voice” menu and press YES
  • Press YES to “Phone Menu”
  • Press YES to “Phone Numbers”
  • Press YES to P1 and enter any phone number e.g., “11”
  • Press YES to Save. e.g., “11”. Press YES to Save
  • Press QUIT to return to “Phone Numbers” then Press NEXT
  • Press YES to “Phone Accounts”
  • Press YES to “P1” and YES to Select B0. Enter account number (Chip number provided by CSL) and press YES to save.
  • Quit back to “Phone Menu”

After doing this, only events that are enabled in the Reports Menu will report to Monitoring. To choose events to report please follow programming below:

  • Enter into engineer mode on 10270 and go to Comms Menu. Press YES to enter
  • Go to “Monitoring & Voice” menu and press YES
  • Press NEXT until you see “Reports Menu” then press YES
  • Press YES to “Phone Reports”. The first Report option will show as “FIRE : 1234” This means that a Fire signal will report to phone numbers 1-4. To stop this from reporting to monitoring, press YES, then press 1, 2, 3, 4 and press QUIT to save. The keypad should now show “FIRE : ----“. Repeat for any signals that should not be reported to monitoring. To enable an option to Report to monitoring, choose the Report type by pressing YES then press 1, 2, 3, 4 and press YES to save.

To test signals to the ARC, go to “Service Menu” – “Test Outputs & Channels” – “Test Extended Reports” and choose the type of Report to test. Inputs, Inhibits & Set/Unset Reports can be tested. Press YES key to send a signal and YES again to send a Restore for the relevant signal.

Note: By default, Pre-Alarm & Alarm signals are delayed by 20 seconds on Irish panel versions, and Intruder and Confirm are delayed by 30 seconds on UK panel versions. These delays can be changed in Comms Menu – Monitoring & Voice – Channel Menu – Channel Options. Change delays for Channel 3 & 7 if required.

Troubleshooting

  • If no events are being reported to monitoring, ensure that the Panel Type is set to “HKC-SECUREWAVE3-TTL” using the CSL My Base app, or contact CSL Support to change this.
  • Reporting of SPT path states to the panel is not supported via the serial interface
  • HKC - Call Tech Support on 01635 231514 so we can change the background setting
  • Should your installation require an indication of 'Path States' or Line Fault, you will need to wire up and use Output 1 and Output 2 to identify the alarm panel of an Alarm Transmission Path (ATP) failure
  • Output 1 – Primary Path
  • Output 2 – Secondary Path
