One Connectivity Provider for Your Entire Logistics Operation
Manage HGVs, commercial vans and logistics sites from one platform, contract relationship and support contract. Most logistics operations run a mix of site operations, warehousing, heavy trucks and light commercial vehicles – CSL lets you connect them all without excessive multiple supplier or contract complexity:
HGVs: IoT SIMs or eUICC with tachograph connectivity for compliance requirements.
Commercial Vans: Multi-Network IoT SIM for cost-effective tracking.
Trailers with Power Constraints: Connectivity for low-power trackers for non-powered assets.
Third-Party Logistics (3PL): Contract logistics, warehousing and distribution.
Food & Beverage Distribution: Temperature-controlled, cold chain, FMCG.
General Fleet Operators: Mixed fleet operations, corporate logistics.
All Operations: One management platform, one invoice, one support contact.
Empowering the Supply Chain
Connected logistics is the digital backbone of the modern supply chain, transforming isolated assets into an intelligent, synchronised ecosystem. By integrating advanced IoT solutions with CSL’s uninterrupted connectivity, logistics operators gain real-time visibility that extends far beyond simple tracking.
From optimising fleet routes and monitoring cold-chain integrity to enabling instant data exchange between warehouse handhelds and central management systems, our solutions ensure that critical data flows uninterrupted. This “always-on” ecosystem empowers businesses to predict disruptions, automate inventory management, and deliver superior customer experiences with total confidence.
2026 Regulatory Drivers
Smart Tachograph V2: Phased requirements for international operations. From 1 July 2026, applies to newly registered goods vehicles over 2.5 tonnes used internationally for hire and reward. Remote download capability required.
Clean Air Zones (CAZ/LEZ): Compliance tracking and route optimisation for urban deliveries.
DVSA Compliance: 28-day driver card, 90-day vehicle unit downloads.
2G/3G Sunset: UK: 3G networks closing ~2025; 2G by 2029/2030. Legacy telematics therefore requires upgrade to 4G and 5G.
Multi-Network SIMs and eUICC
Resilient connectivity ensures vehicles and assets stay synced with fleet management systems. CSL provides a range of SIM cards with a variety of features that meets the needs of logistics providers:
Cross-Border Simplicity: One SIM works across the UK, EU and beyond. No per-country SIM management. Comms plans are managed and tracked centrally for your protection.
Local Profile Options: Add in-country profiles for frequent routes (Germany, France, Spain, etc.).
Overcome Permanent Roaming Restrictions: Deploy local profiles as required: Türkiye, USA, Brazil, etc.
Remote Management: Change profiles over-the-air. No visits/truck rolls, no driver or field operative involvement required.
Future-Proof: 7-10 year lifecycle. Adapt as networks change.
When Logistics Operations Need Routers
HGV fleets increasingly deploy multiple connected devices per vehicle. A single SIM in a telematics unit may not provide the bandwidth, redundancy, or multi-device connectivity that modern logistics operations require.
Multi-Camera Video Telematics: Modern HGV safety systems deploy 4–8 cameras per vehicle – forward-facing dashcam, nearside blind spot, offside mirror, rear, in-cab driver monitoring, and cargo area. Uploading incident footage from multiple cameras simultaneously may require aggregated cellular connectivity for simplified and unified operations.
In-Cab Device Connectivity: Long-haul operations increasingly rely on multiple in-cab devices – ELD tablets, navigation systems, driver communication apps, and handheld scanners. A router creates a single managed connection point for all devices rather than multiple individual SIMs.
Yard & Depot Operations: Distribution centres operate multiple IoT devices – CCTV, handheld scanners, environmental sensors, yard management systems, trailer tracking. Cellular routers provide flexible connectivity without fixed-line infrastructure, particularly valuable for temporary or leased facilities.
Warehousing and Site-Infrastructure
Our routers connect environmental sensors throughout your facilities to centralised monitoring systems.
Yard Management: Large distribution centres need to track trailers and containers across expansive yards. CSL routers extend connectivity to outdoor areas for real-time yard visibility and dock scheduling.
Temporary & Pop-Up Facilities: Peak season overflow warehouses, event logistics staging areas, and short-term leased facilities need instant connectivity. Our cellular routers deploy in hours rather than weeks – and relocate when operations move.
WMS Integration: Warehouse Management Systems require reliable connectivity to synchronise inventory, order processing, and dispatch. CSL Dual-SIM routers with automatic failover ensure WMS uptime even when the primary connectivity fails.
Business Continuity: Even facilities with fixed-line connectivity benefit from cellular backup. When primary connections fail, automatic failover to cellular maintains operations – critical during peak trading periods.
