Solution Architect – Signalling

Who has experience in translating business needs into technical solutions, ensuring that all components are integrated and aligned into the overall architecture. The Role:

Head of Data & Intelligence

A visionary, experienced Head of Data & Intelligence to lead the creation of a modern data function from the ground-up. You must be someone who can think both strategically and operationally, capable of architecting a future-proof data ecosystem while delivering immediate value through data to the business. This is a unique opportunity to work with the CSL executive board via the CTO, to shape CSL’s data future and build a data function that powers mission-critical decisions across the globe.
The Role:
As the Head of Data & Intelligence, you will be responsible for building and leading the organisation’s data function from the ground up. This includes defining the data strategy, establishing the data architecture, policies & governance and platforms, and building a high-performing team of initially data engineers and analysts, and over time additional roles & capabilities. You will oversee the delivery of business-critical reporting (Management Information (MI), Business Intelligence (BI), product performance) and lay the foundations for advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI capabilities.
This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives in greenfield environments and is passionate about turning data into a business asset enabling competitive advantage. The role is initially responsible for recruiting a team of 2, and beyond this growing the team over time either through recruitment or internal consolidation of data roles.

Data Strategy & Leadership
- Define and continuously evolve the company’s data vision, strategy and roadmap.

- Accountable for the approach taken for data categorisation, data management and provide overall responsibility for data governance.
Business Intelligence & Reporting
- Oversee the delivery of automated MI and BI reporting ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and relevance.
- Standardize KPIs and reporting frameworks to create a single source of truth across the organisation.
- Continuously improve reporting processes through automation, data quality monitoring, and stakeholder feedback.
- Support commercial teams with customer insights, margin & pricing analysis, and revenue forecasting.
Advanced Analytics & Innovation

Cloud Centre of Excellence Lead
Who Are CSL Looking For?
We are looking for a hands-on and visionary individual capable of providing both technical and human leadership to establish and run CSL’s Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCoE). This role will be pivotal in defining and implementing cloud governance, security frameworks, access management and financial operations (FinOps) practices across the whole organisation. The CCoE will serve as a central authority from within CSLs IT Operations function across all product portfolios providing guidance, compliance oversight, tools and re-usable deployment patterns to enable the successful deployment and management of cloud services across all technology portfolios
We are a Critical IoT Connectivity business and our products help our customers protect people, premises and profits through providing alarm signalling capability that is integrated with emergency services and private security response services.
We’re looking for a seasoned cloud and infrastructure subject matter expert capable of taking ownership of the organisations cloud usage. The successful candidate will be a member of the IT & Cyber Security leadership team and have responsibility for CSL’s cloud usage and governance and is anticipated to have a background in larger scale cloud operations, solution architecture, cloud architecture or similar.
The Role
We’re seeking an experienced technical lead to establish and evolve our Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCoE). This role will play a pivotal part in shaping cloud adoption, with an initial focus on properly operationalising a multi-tenant and subscription account structure, implement access and identity management, integrating maintenance management and information security governance processes across our cloud estate as well as identifying tools and processes to enable an effective FinOps practice across CSL.
The successful candidate will act as the technical authority and CCoE lead collaborating with IT Operations, Security, Finance and product delivery teams to ensure cloud practices are consistent, secure, scalable and cost effective across the group.
The role shall initially be focused on Microsoft Azure Cloud, however the organisation are actively considering taking a multi-cloud approach and therefore experience and exposure to AWS and its specifics would be beneficial. As a result processes, practices and tools put in place should be multi-cloud capable to ensure they are future proof as the organisation expands into multiple clouds.
Duties & Responsibilities:
This role will encompass a range of responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Establish and Lead the Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCoE) by formulating a central governance and advisory function within IT Operations.
- Work with leadership to define, and implement cloud strategy, policies and best practices aligned with CSLs business objectives.
- Develop and maintain cloud operating models including account subscription structures, role-based access controls and security baselines environment segregation.
- Develop and enforce cloud governance policies covering identify, networking, resource provisioning and tagging standards.
- Lead the adoption of FinOps practices to monitor, optimise and report on cloud spend across the organisation.
- Working with groups consuming cloud to ensure cloud solutions are secure, compliant and cost effective. Enable reporting at a product/portfolio level and in aggregate for senior mgmt a holistic view of consumption and compliance.
- Establish security policy baselines and ensure they are rolled out and enforced.
- Budgeting, forecasting, cost allocation and show/charge back reporting.
- Usage monitoring and rightsizing/retirement recommendations to consuming teams.
- Identify opportunities for reserved instances, savings plans and co-ordination of purchase.
- Act as key advisor to product teams, solution architectures and engineering groups on cloud adoption and deployment patterns.
- Develop automation and orchestration solutions such as reusable pipelines and infrastructure as code templates to accelerate adoption within product teams.
- Operationalise a process for triaging both maintenance notifications from cloud providers as well as end of life notifications and ensure teams consuming cloud services are notified and act upon those notifications avoiding service impact.
- Maintain CCoE backlog and work with leadership to prioritising and execute upon it.
- Foster a community of practice around cloud technologies within CSL.
- Identify skill gaps within the organisation and facilitate learning / certification for staff.
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging tech and evolving best practices.
- Establish methods for integrating acquisitions into overall cloud consumption models as they occur and over time transitioning them to one of the supported operating models.
- Document designs and processes as part of sprints, facilitating adoption broadly across the organisation.
- Facilitate datacentre to cloud, or cloud to cloud migration projects through providing expertise, cost estimates and ongoing support.
- To identify automation and efficiency opportunities that reduce errors, cost or improve service and drive them to conclusion.

Key Skills & Qualifications Sought:
- Proven experience in designing, implementing and governing cloud platforms, preferably with Microsoft Azure.

- Management of Multi-Site Infrastructure: Oversee day-to-day operations and health of Windows and Linux server estates, hosted on VMware vSphere across four geographically diverse datacentres. Ensure high availability and resilience of all core systems underpinning critical managed IoT services.
- System Administration and Operations: Conduct routine maintenance, patching, monitoring, and performance optimisation of both virtual and physical infrastructure. Respond to incidents, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive root cause analysis to resolution, maintaining strict adherence to service SLAs.
- Virtualisation Support: Administer, optimise, and expand VMware vSphere environments, leveraging vCenter, resource clustering, vMotion, and disaster recovery tools to support secure and scalable virtual machine operations.
- Backup and Recovery: Implement, monitor, and routinely validate backup solutions. Develop and execute tested disaster recovery procedures to guarantee swift and reliable restoration of services and data integrity across all sites.
- Security and Compliance: Apply established security protocols, manage access controls, and enforce robust adherenace of infrastructure against defined standards.

- Build and maintain a comprehensive knowledge base, working closely with peers in Europe to capture insights on rSIM, eSIM, connectivity behaviour, and deployment scenarios
- Provide technical expertise during customer engagements, supporting the sales team during pitches, meetings, and technical discussions
- Collaborate with mobile network operators on opportunities they bring to CSL, offering guidance on how rSIM can support their requirements
- Support onboarding of new operator partners by working closely with internal technical teams and external operator contacts
- Work cross-functionally with Product and Marketing teams, helping to translate customer requirements and use case feedback into product enhancements
- Travel is expected throughout USA, Canada, and on occasion internationally, including to CSL’s head office in London, UK.
Key Skills & Qualifications Sought:
- Strong understanding of the wireless carrier / mobile operator ecosystem, experience working with or for mobile network operators (MNOs) or connectivity platforms is essential.
- Familiarity with eSIM technologies, including GSMA standards such as SGP.02 and SGP.32, is highly desirable.
- Networking expertise including knowledge of APNs, VPNs, private IP schemes, NAT, and routing.
- IoT experience with a focus on customer requirements, deployment challenges, and connectivity needs.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in telecoms or mobile connectivity roles (pre-sales, solution engineering, product, or operations).
- A quick learner with a strong sense of ownership and a genuine hunger to be the best.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical or engineering discipline preferred. Experience working across internal and external technical teams to help bring a world-class product to market
