AVON AND SOMERSET CONSTABULARY ISSUE NOTICE TO REGISTERED ARCS ABOUT THEIR SWITCH TO ECHO

avon_echo_news

From the 30th September 2022, Avon and Somerset constabulary will only accept transmissions via ECHO

From Friday 1st April 2022 Avon and Somerset Constabulary will accept automatic intruder alarm system (IAS) and Hold-up Alarm System (HUA) activation calls via ECHO. Subsequently, from Friday 30th September 2022, all alarm signals from their registered ARCs will be required to transmit in this way.

This will mean that from the 30th September 2022, telephone calls to Avon and Somerset Constabulary requesting a response from IAS and HUA may result in a transmission delay or worse yet, it may not be even accepted.

ARCs registered with Avon and Somerset Constabulary requiring assistance regarding their readiness to transmit via ECHO should contact their alarm monitoring software provider in the first instance.
