• Connect the DualCom to the panels modem as per diagram below. 
  • Connect the PSTN connections on the PSTN card, using the broadband filter provided. (Install broadband filter even if there is no broadband present to future proof site).
  • Connect the aerial provided, mounting it vertically.
  • Apply power.
  • The DualCom will go through its power up/registration process which will take approximately 5
    minutes.
  • The top “SVC” LED will start to pulse like a heartbeat once locked onto the network.
  • The signal strength will then be displayed.
  • Leave the DualCom to conduct an internal network survey, which happens automatically. The display will show 0.0, 0.1, 0.2 etc.
  • Once the survey is complete, continue to panel programming.

Panel Programming

  • Enter engineer mode.
  • Select option 56 (communication).
  • Select option 1 = Telecoms.
  • Select option 1 = Format.
  • Press enter, select option 2 = SIA.
  • Press enter, select SIA level 3.
  • Press enter to select triggers you wish to use. (Company driven).
  • Esc to 01 = Format, press A.
  • 02 = Tel 1, press enter and use 01 as telephone number, press enter.
  • 03 = Account Number, press enter and use the DualCom’s chip number or 1234 (number not used), press enter.
  • Select option 09 = number of rings, press enter.
  • Change to 1 ring, press enter, then esc.
  • Select option 12 = remote access, press enter.
  • 1 = access period, press enter.
  • Select 0 = Full, press enter, then esc.
  • Press A, 02 = access mode, press enter.
  • Change to 1 = Direct, press enter.
  • Esc out of engineer mode, programming complete.
