THE BANKS FOUNDATION INVESTS IN SKILLS FOR SECURITY

Committed to helping the next generation of entrepreneurs fast-track their career ambitions.

We are delighted to announce that The Banks Foundation (TBF), set up by CSL Founder, Simon Banks, has acquired 49.9% of Skills for Security (SfS), the UK's largest fire and security apprenticeship provider.

This initiative aligns with Simon’s ongoing commitment to help bridge the skills shortage and help support, as well as mentor young people into the IoT, Security and Electrotechnical sectors. TBF is a newly launched, not-for-profit, designed to give something back after a lifetime career in the security industry.

Simon, commented: "I'm passionate about helping young people realise their potential, whether through apprenticeships or entrepreneurship, or both. TBF provides an important boost for young enterprise - these are the people that have something that you can’t teach and may ordinarily miss the opportunity to demonstrate their extra-curriculum abilities. By creating wealth in our sector, we will ensure we attract the very best talent and move the Security sector forward, benefiting the entire value chain."

Together, SfS and TBF have ambitions to flood the sector with 2,000 new engineers every year, which will in turn support the development of skills within the IoT, Security and Electrotechnical sectors.
