We recently hosted our annual Company Update Event, recognising and rewarding our amazing team!
For over 15 years, we have been hosting a yearly company-wide event. The evening includes presentations focused on looking back at the past year, as well as looking forward to future opportunities and projects, as well as recognising how we can improve our service to customers. We also hold an awards ceremony, providing recognition to our employees who have gone above and beyond! Here are our 2023 winners:
Best Newcomer – Catharine Kerley
Catharine joined the Billing Team in September 2022 and closed 2,200 cases in her first full month! Since then, she’s continued working hard and has even been training other new starters.
Champion of Continuous Improvement – Mahir Burkac
Mahir joined CSL as a Technical Support Advisor and, after completing a Customer Service apprenticeship, has continued his progression in a new role as a Junior Software Developer.
Champion of Customer Obsession – John Coleman
John received a large number of votes thanks to his ongoing commitment to customers. His colleagues have recognised him for his hard work and dedication.
Champion of Collaboration – Joe Sheppard
Joe demonstrates constant support and positive relationships across the business, and many of his colleagues have voted for him as a true team player.
Employee of the Year Joint 3rd Place – Bex Blackwood
Bex has been Billing Manager since 2020 and has made significant improvements to many areas of the billing function. This quality of work has been consistently high and has been recognised by her colleagues in this award.
Employee of the Year Joint 3rd Place – Callum Clark
Callum joined CSL in 2017 as part of the WebWayOne acquisition. His colleagues have voted for him due to his hardworking and positive attitude. He has also been instrumental in our work in supporting apprentices, including the annual competitions; Engineers of Tomorrow and WorldSkills UK.
Employee of the Year 2nd Place – Vickie Davies
Vickie is one of our longest-standing employees and continues to get the best out of her team. Her leadership skills and dedication have earned her votes from across the business.
Employee of the Year 1st Place – Wes Chidgey
Wes, our Technical Account Manager for the South, received the top number of votes from CSL employees! He has been part of the team since 2007 and continues to go above and beyond for CSL and his customers.
Special Recognition – Callum Poltock, Emily Glynn, Nisrine Atmani and Sam Parsons
Callum, Emily, Nisrine and Sam, each received nominations in every single award category this year. This demonstrates that they embody CSL’s values and give it their all at every opportunity.
Each year we also take pride in recognising those individuals who achieve either their 10, 15 or 20 years of service at CSL. This year we celebrated two milestones:
Long Service 10 Years – Tony Mann
Tony joined as Operations Director in 2013 and has been keeping things running smoothly ever since, especially with the organisation of the move of our head office to Croxley Park.
Long Service 15 Years – Dave Willetts
Dave joined CSL in 2007 as Head of Key Accounts and has been a valuable CSL employee, respected among staff and with our customers. Dave has also taken part in many fundraising events for the company and can normally be found in his wet suit in a lake or pool!
