APPELLO AND CSL DUALCOM LINK UP

Appello and CSL DualCom have co-created an automated door access service called SmartAccess.

Appello Ltd, a leading provider of technology enabled care services (TECS) today announced it has partnered with European M2M Critical Connectivity® provider, CSL DualCom, to deliver practical and operational benefits for housing and social care providers.

Appello operates the UK’s largest digitally enabled care and monitoring centre, supporting older and vulnerable people in their own homes and housing developments, responding to over 3.5 million calls a year. The partnership with CSL DualCom will enable them to provide Critical Connectivity® for their customers alongside telecare response.

Keeping residents safe is a key consideration for Local Authorities and Housing Associations, yet ready access to their properties across a range of professionals is also required.  Appello and CSL DualCom have co-created an automated door access service called SmartAccess. This secure mobile authenticated process allows fast, secure, audited access for carers, medical and emergency services providers, contractors and authorised visitors.

SmartAccess removes concerns about a door key being lost or put in the hands of multiple agencies.  All administration is carried out at Appello’s centre via the DualCom Gemini Platform allowing instant additions and deletions of visitor’s access rights. Service providers can add and delete new carers instantly without having to visit the property to administer keys or often insecure key lock codes.

CSL DualCom provides simple and reliable products and services powered by the DualCom Gemini Platform. Their expertise in software and hardware development with an in-depth understanding of Critical Connectivity® means they are an ideal partner for TECS providers.

Andy Davey, MD, Appello, commented: “Appello welcomes this new partnership and joint co-creation of a solution to improve efficiencies in the housing and care sector. We are continually innovating and partnering with industry leaders to help with our customer’s challenges and opportunities. SmartAccess will give housing and social scheme providers the peace of mind that their care provision is safe, responsive and auditable.”

Phil Hollett, Group CEO, CSL DualCom, added: “This partnership will take our market leading Critical Connectivity® to a wider audience, providing real time savings and improved monitoring. We look forward to working in partnership with Appello and supporting their development of TECS.”
