Project Manager

The Company:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join CSL, a leading international IoT and M2M service provider specialising in sectors including Fire, Security, Health and much more. CSL is a rapidly growing, private equity backed company with operations in multiple countries, including the UK, Ireland, the Nordics, Benelux and Spain. CSL has a high performing team that is renowned for delivering leading solutions and services, backed up by world class customer support across markets that demand nothing less than absolutely certainty. Whether you’re looking for a new start or looking for a move into a Company where you really make a difference, CSL could be the platform you are looking for.

The Person:

The ideal candidate will be a successful Project Manager with proven ability to engage with a team ensuring things get done on time to a high level of quality, but more than that, the right person will have a technical or product development background who knows how software development works and is able to contribute leading to an “informed” and accurate plan. This role requires someone who thinks like a chief operations officer – they ensure the team has regular “habits” and routines that become muscle memory so everyone can focus on the solution rather than the process. This individual has an eye for knowing what the top level messages and roadmap  are for management, but is underpinned by the bottom up detail - the ability to be macro and microscopic is vital because it is too easy to get bogged down in the detail or lose the important details when summarising.

They must be confident and capable to engage with brash extroverts through to shy introverts while nurturing a culture where job titles are second to the strength of ideas and execution. You earn your stripes by what you do. The person will help maintain structure and discipline in the dept, but not stifle creativity or innovation.

They must thrive in an ambiguous environment and be worried more about the outcome, rather than the process. They must be hands on and prepared to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in. They should be able to apply the correct approach for the scale and importance of the project and know what an MVP is and what’s “good enough”.
