For a hassle-free experience, choose CSL Managed. We configure, manage, and monitor your Private DSL and router. Alternatively, if you prefer more control, opt for the Public DSL offering. This unmanaged option requires you to handle configuration and management yourself.

Can I change the settings on my CSL Router?

Managed

Unmanaged

As this version is configured by the customer, as settings and configurations can be updated. Please be aware any changes can impact the performance of the router.

Can my router supply a Wi-Fi connection?

This model does not have built-in WiFi.

What is the AnyConnect App for?

Managed offering only.

The Cisco AnyConnect VPN app is required for direct remote connections to any device connected to the router.

CSL can supply a secure Cisco AnyConnect VPN connection tailored specifically for each purchased router. Details for how to download the Cisco AnyConnect VPN app and the login details are included in the instructions provided with the router.

Important Note: The VPN is not necessary if using a third-party P2P service for remote connection to your device.

How can I remotely connect to my device?

Managed

Ensure the Cisco AnyConnect VPN app is running and connected. Enter the router WAN IP address into a browser (or your relevant software) with the port number you would like to connect to.

Important Note: For the remote connection to work, your VPN must be running and connected. The device connected to the CSL Router must be set the to static LAN IP address included in the instructions that came with the router.

Unmanaged

The unmanaged offering uses Public a broadband connection, so a VPN is advisable for any remote access. CSL router Pro is configurable with several VPNs that can allow for remote access.

Can I amend the port forwarding rules on my CSL Router?

Can I change my Self-Monitored CSL Router to ARC Monitored?

Managed Only

Yes. Please send an email to iotsupport@csl-group.com requesting this change and include the router serial number and WAN IP address. We will also need an email from the ARC confirming for us that they are wiling to take on the monitoring for your CSL Router.

Does my CSL Router Pro support DHCP?

Yes, and in most cases DHCP will be enabled on our CSL Routers by default.
